BioGRASS EXTRA Product and Suppliers
BioGRASS EXTRA Surfactant Properties
BioGRASS EXTRA is a highly concentrated, all-natural, and USEPA certified non-toxic, bio-based surfactant (also known as an emulsifier or wetting agent) that like many washing agents, breaks the surface tension of lipid-based products, contaminants, and residuals and rearranges their adhesive composition properties into hydrophilic profiles that mimic those of detergent, foaming and dispersant products. This completely organic and tensioactive linear surfactant induces an oxidation-reduction, resulting in an exchange of electrons between molecules. The hydrocarbon molecular chain is broken, resulting in the loss of its well-known characteristics: adhesion, viscosity and aroma.
BioGRASS EXTRA Hydrocarbon-Remediation Properties
BioGRASS EXTRA has certified and lab-tested properties known to bioremediate hydrocarbons within petroleum and its byproducts (processed, synthetic, and raw) upon contact to less than 1% toxicity through the process of molecular reduction by carbon/hydrocarbon assisted water electrolysis (CAWE).
Uses of BioGRASS EXTRA Across Industries
BioGRASS extra is a bio-based industrial detergent that has multiple properties that enable it to perform many functions across different industries. It can facilitate in the remediation of sand, soil, farmland or water. It also has the ability to perform the treatment of drains, wastewater, grease traps and Non-synthetic burned oils. It has applications for cleaning that ranges from refineries, platforms, boats, machinery, facilities and other miscellaneous equipment. Bio-based industrial detergents (surfactants) are used to reduce the surface tension between two surfaces, it may be two liquids or between a liquid and a solid. This is due to the fact that it has both water soluble and water insoluble components, which gives it the capability to aggregate different interfaces of different fluids with different polarities and other functions such as foaming agents, detergents wetting agent and emulsifiers. This property makes this surfactant a vital component in many industries including both household and industrial detergents, and personal care products such as soaps, shampoos, perfumes and hand wash. Its application can be extended to agriculture, pharmaceuticals, chemical cleaning and textiles, and food industries as preservatives. These are highly biodegradable, have low toxicity, and are effective in high temperature, pH, and salinity.
Synthetic detergents have held the majority of the market share in relation to industrial businesses. Bio-based industrial detergents are beginning to take hold and gain a broader market share. An Increase in the demand for bio-based detergents is based on two major factors, increasing environmental regulations that address the harmful effects of synthetic industrial detergents and the volatility of crude oil prices from which these petrochemical synthetic detergents derive. Although synthetic industrial detergents record higher consumption, these factors are likely to boost the demand for bio-based industrial detergents. These bio-based products are additionally advantageous because of their multi-use properties, which are still being explored today. Moreover, the expanding application base for bio-detergents is likely to be the major opportunity for the global industrial detergents market during the forecast period.
